I watched the first seasn of Nine Perfect Strangers and I only liked Cannavale and McCArthy so I decided to skip s2. Nicole Kidman's face is every day more artificial lol
Haha she is almost frozen in time now 😂. I have to say no one comes close to Cannavale McCarthy in season 2 so you probably made the right choice. The story was a tad more interesting but they kind of ruined this with the meh finale
This season of Ultimatum was soooo messy! That reunion was wild, I agree with what you said about Ashley and Marita, it was interesting to see a couple who both love each other, struggle to work and almost refuse the fact that they don't work together for so long. It felt like so much happened with them after the show that they never properly explained in the reunion.
The reunion discussion between them went from 0 to 100 back to 0 in a few minutes it was wild. The whole my grandparents is dying and you were cheating on me came out of nowhere for me. Also still unclear if they were still together when this happened or not 😂. I honestly think they were both miserable but afraid to break up because they got used to each other.
Larissa here - Omg I *knew* Ultimatum was going to get insanely messy. I tend to stay away from that show straight or queer because it’s just producers fucking with relationships. Even Love Is Blind isn’t as bad. The drama you described even outdid my expectations !! Holy sheet - someone outright cheated and fell in love?! Messy messy.
Re: And Just Like That — I am a diehard SATC fan, and again, couldn’t bring myself to watch this season. I’m so sad at Darren Star becoming completely out of touch with all of reality. I read a review the other day complaining about Lorde for the same reason - her recent album being totally unrelatable to anyone who isn’t a millionaire chased by paparazzi. Darren Star takes it to a whole new level.
I love your story idea about the ghost!! Especially the bra that’s uncomfortable!! 😝
I saw some people sharing the Ultimatum producers reached out to them on TikTok and asked them if they would be willing to go with an ex or a friend. It's definitely a super produced show. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of queer shows 😭 so I'll take it! This season was definitely even messier than I expected.
And just like that is so bad at this point I honestly have to wonder if it's not a little bit on purpose. Like they are a show a lot of people hate watch but at least some of us still watch 😂. Maybe they don't want to mess up that dynamic and just become fully irrelevant.
Part of me wonders if the characters would actually become that insufferable. Like Carrie’s credit card bill always pulled her back to reality. She might dream of a closet full of Manolo Blahnik’s, but she has to make do with only one pair that has put her into severe debt. Miranda and Samantha were always hustling and never quite making it to the same level as their male colleagues, and Charlotte was desperate to land a man. Now all of them have unlimited funds, with no purpose to ground them - no quest for love, ambition for more success, or even moving on from grief. Even with her husband dying, Carrie seems too rich to struggle. I wonder if Star is writing insufferable characters because that’s actually what happens when you have enough money to make most of your problems go away, and he’s writing from experience.
That's my favorite theory I've read so far. Its giving Star a lot of credit but at this point itust be hard to write such annoying characters honestly. Do you know if it got renewed for another season? Since you're tracking this 😊. I kind of hope that's the last of it.
Sorry to hear Nine Perfect Strangers had a meh ending.
As for me I spent parts of the week binging Ozark. It’s a great show but can be sort of annoying with Jason Bateman always being so nonchalant about everything.
Bachelor in Paradise and Big Brother start soon so I am looking forward to getting my reality tv fix from them even if The Bachelor universe has become insufferable.
Another brilliant pitch idea!!
Thank you! One day, a tv person will read this and one of my crazy pitches will be made into something.

Mason here-- have you checked out I Kissed A Boy yet? It's a queer dating show from the UK.
No I haven't! I had never heard of it but will definitely check it out now if I can find it anywhere. Thanks for the tip!

I'm still amazed that both The Bachelor and Big Brother is still airing. What season are the even on?
I think Big Brother is around season 30 and bachelor is around the same ish. Survivor is even worse though lol, it’s at season 50 or something.
50 seasons is insane 😮
